Unable to reactivate from Sys Tray
Hi,
I'm not sure if your aware of this but since the recent Beta update I am unable to reactivate TV-Browser from my sys tray. 1 click and 2 clicks does nothing and the right click only opens a list of currently running.
Cheers,
Keith

Re: Unable to reactivate from Sys Tray
Which OS do you have? And the right click menu option to reactivate TVB doesn't work, too?

Hi Jo, Sorry, Win XP Pro.Jo hat geschrieben:Which OS do you have? And the right click menu option to reactivate TVB doesn't work, too?
As of this morning, it has decided to start working - but for days it didn't! I can now reactivate with a single left click or right click to display the Currently Running menu and then I can 'Restore TV-Browser'. Maybe it has decided to change it's ways in the New Year!
So, all's well at the moment.
Happy New Year.
Cheers,
Keith

Re: Unable to reactivate from Sys Tray
Well, the problem is back.
It seems if I leave TV-Browser open for any length of time that's when it won't reactivate. When I right click I'm only getting the minimize option and any number of clicks on the icon does nothing. It's as if it thinks it's already open?
Cheers,
Keith

Re: Unable to reactivate from Sys Tray
Hi,
Thanks for the info.
I modified as explained and this is what it now looks like:-
I removed the hash (#) from the bottom 2 lines and added '/Logs' to the path in the hope it will create it's own folder?!
I'd appreciate some feedback on whether I followed the instructions correctly.
Cheers,
Keith
Thanks for the info.
I modified as explained and this is what it now looks like:-
Code: Alles auswählen
# These are the base system properties. If TV-Browser cannot find the
# appropriate properties in the settings file (settings.properties), properties
# from here are used.
#
#
# You can use any Java System Property as place holders (e.g. ${user.home})
# The key user.appdata is used for Windows appdata directory, it's not a Java System Property.
# Enter the Java L&F class name here.
#lookandfeel=com.sun.java.swing.plaf.windows.WindowsLookAndFeel
# In this folder TV-Browser stores the settings
userdir=${user.appdata}/TV-Browser
# In this folder TV-Browser stores the TV listings
tvdatadir=${user.appdata}/TV-Browser/tvdata
# In this folder TV-Browser stores the plugins
#pluginsdir=${user.appdata}/TV-Browser/plugins
The folder for logging
logdirectory=${user.appdata}/TV-Browser/Logs
I'd appreciate some feedback on whether I followed the instructions correctly.

Keith
Re: Unable to reactivate from Sys Tray
Yes it will create the missing directories. You will find a file tvbrowser.log in that directory after you have started TV-Browser. (It will be overwritten every start.)

Superb, thank you.ds10 hat geschrieben:Yes it will create the missing directories. You will find a file tvbrowser.log in that directory after you have started TV-Browser. (It will be overwritten every start.)
So, if and when it refuses to restart from the sys tray, at what point would you like to see a copy of the log? Should I close TV-Browser then copy the log?
Another glitch I think I have is when I open pop-up's (ie Search Repetition etc) the pop-up windows tend to dart to the left on opening and every sub window too?
Cheers,
Keith

You can close TV-Browser before copying the log, but you don't have to.keithy397 hat geschrieben:So, if and when it refuses to restart from the sys tray, at what point would you like to see a copy of the log? Should I close TV-Browser then copy the log?

Re: Unable to reactivate from Sys Tray
That warning can be ignored, it has nothing to do with the lock.
So the log has no valuable information.
Can you specify a time when it happens like every day at midnight?

Re: Unable to reactivate from Sys Tray
No particular time really. It appears to happen when I leave the program running for any length of time though, like all night or a day or two maybe.
Re: Unable to reactivate from Sys Tray
Is the auto update activated and if it is, please deactivate it.
