It would, IMHO, be even better if you were to insert the rating at the beginning of the (short) description.

eg:

That way, one could see the rating directly in the Program Table and not just in the Program Details.

I changed the position in the SVN. The next Version will move it to the beginning of the short description

The ratings have suddenly vanished from my display ..I'm still using version 2.6.2 so has something been changed since yesterday which has made this happen?

My guess would be that radiotimes removed the ratings from the feed again

Apparently the data from RadioTimes does not contain ratings for the next couple of days.
There are ratings for films from January 11 and subsequent days.

Well I just tried a fresh download and everythings looks fine now..I also notice that the ratings are now in their new layout both in the schedules and programme content..all looks very nice..well done there team

In the next Version of TV-Browser we added a new field for ratings. The ratings will move to another line and will not mix with the description anymore
