TVBrowser 2.7beta1 startet nicht mit com4j

Hallo,

erstmal muss ich der neuen Version ein großes Lob aussprechen, die Version ist super schnell und sieht gut aus.

Nun aber mal ein paar Feedbacks:

1. Übersetzungen:
Das neue Übersetzungsplugin liefert sogar fehlende Übersetzungen für den TVBrowser Kern. Wie können die gefixt bzw. ergänzt werden? Sind die Meldungen ernst zu nehmen? Kann ich die einsenden?

2. Com4j
Ich nutze den DVBViewerEPG Datenservice ( http://hilfe.tvbrowser.org/viewtopic.php?t=9243 ). Dieses benötigt gemäß dem Posting die com4j Java Komponente. Leider geht der Start des TVBrowsers mit der Startanweisung aus dem o.g. Posting nicht. Er startet zwar, ist aber immer voll ausgelastet. Starte ich die exe oder die jar normal, ist alles OK. Nur der Datenservice geht nicht.

Kann das mal einer testen bzw. fixen? Danke.

Falls ich weitere Fehler finde, gebe ich sofort bescheid. Aber dass das DVBViewer Plugin nicht funktioniert, ist ein großes Problem.

Du hast doch permanent das Logging aktiviert. Was steht denn drin?
Passiert das immer, oder nur dann, wenn neue Daten geholt werden sollen?

Offenbar war es gut, als unterstützte Versionen nur die 2.6.3 anzugeben.

Mit dem, was ich gerade in der Entwicklung habe und der aus SVN selbst kompilierten Version, ja.

Hi UPollaehne,

habe nochmal ein wenig rumprobiert. Wenn ich mit mehr Arbeitspeicher starte (256MB) funktioniert alles super.

Werde somit also immer mit mehr RAM starten.

Der Aufrufbefehl ist jetzt:

%windir%\system32\javaw.exe -Xmx256M -Dpropertiesfile=windows.properties -cp tvbrowser.jar;com4j.jar tvbrowser.TVBrowser

Dann sollte es gehen.

Wieviel Arbeitsspeicher hat denn Dein Rechner?
Meiner hat 2GB, ich setze Java 6u10 ein (auf Vista) und habe an den Speichereinstellungen nichts gedreht. Wobei die VM bei mehr Arbeitsspeicher auch etwas mehr reserviert.

Ich habe gerade die 2.7b1 geholt (um exakt denselben Stand zu haben) und den DataService eingesetzt, der im Wiki verfügbar ist.
Es gab keine Probleme.
Mit VisualVM sehe ich aber auch nur eine Nutzung von ca 32MB Heap.

Hi,

habe auch 2GB und WinXP Prof und die selbe Java Version wie du.

Ich weiß auch nicht warum das mit dem RAM nicht funktioniert.
Aber ds10 hatte ja für die 2.7B1 den Speicherbedarf erhöht.

Hast du denn eine Ahnung, was das sein könnte?

Nee, im Moment nicht die geringste Ahnung.
Wenn ich allerdings sehe, dass die tvbrowser.exe auch Java mit -Xmx256m startet...
...liegt es wohl eher weniger an com4j und eher daran, dass beim direkten Aufruf von Java der Parameter fehlt.
