Hi Leute!
Habe java 1.4.2.04 und tvbrowser 0.973-02 installiert.
Die FAQ habe ich durchgelesen und ebenfalls versucht, die Java-Klasse direkt aus dem Verzeichnis heraus zu starten.
Lokk´n Feel, plugins etc werden geladen, dann kommt die Info "Starting up", platform independent mode is OFF, dann kommt nix mehr.

Eine INternetverbindung mit ausgeschalteter Firewall besteht.
Was tunfisch?

tv-browser neu installiert?

was ich aus den foren so gefunden habe (ich denke mal bei dir steht der startupscreen noch da - und noch kein fertiges tv-browser-fenster)
*druckerplugin verursacht probleme
* lösche config-verzeichnis (c:\windows\.tvbrowser ||| c:\dokumente und einstellungen\username\.tvbrowser ||| /home/user/.tvbrowser ||| oder so)

Hi fragless oder andere,

der Tip mit dem Druckerplugin funzt nicht.
Bei manuellem Start bleibt das Programm nach wie vor beim Einrichtungsassistenten hängen. Ein config- Verzeichnis ist nicht vorhanden; es scheint noch gar nicht angelegt worden zu sein.
Im Taskmanager rödelt java.exe bis zum Anschlag. Aber tv-browser bleibt hängen. Wie es sich mir darstellt haut was mit dem Java nicht hin.
Hat noch jemand eine Idee?

Kannst du mal in dem TVBrowser-Verzeichniss java -jar tvbrowser.jar aufrufen und den Text, der dann kommt hier posten? Vielleicht sehen wir dann ja,worans liegt...

Und da bleibt das Programm stehen. Prozessorauslastung ist 100%. Übrigens: Habe die Daten von Hand abgeschrieben. Daher evtl. Tippfehler )
Habt Ihr ne Idee?

Funktionieren andere Java-Programme?

Du könntest Java neu installieren oder die Java-Programme von Til und Bodo www.murfman.de und www.wannawork.de ausprobieren, ob sie bei dir laufen.

Vielleicht liegt's ja gar nicht an TV-Browser.

Hm, das Programm "Murfmans Playlist" läuft auch nicht. Gleiches Verhalten. Dann funzt wohl das Java nicht. Scheissendreck. Ist frisch installiert; vorher nen regclean durchlaufen lassen. Der Versionscheck läßt nicht auf ein Problem schliessen.
Fällt Euch noch was ein oder soll ich mal in ein andres (Java)Forum umziehen? Bis hierher schon mal vielen Dank für Eure schnelle Hilfe!!!! daddel

Also dann hilft wohl nur, nochmal zu versuchen, java neu zu isntallieren. also schön brav erst deinstallieren, dann neustarten (WICHTIG!!), dann alles was übrig geblieben ist, löschen, dann java neu draufhauen. hoffe das hilft. ich hatte mal beim "upgraden" probleme, weil ich nich neugestartet habe ...

Aehm.... wieso "ausgeschalteter Firewall"? Ich hab' doch auch Firewall. Aber nix ausgeschaltet

Das Problem liegt nicht an Java. Murfman läuft einwandfrei und auch sonst gibt's bei mir kein Problem mit JAVA.

Bei mir tritt der beschriebene Fehler nur sporadisch auf. Mit Fehler sieht das so aus:
